Upon graduation Camryn is hoping to take Police Foundations @ St. Lawrence College

Camryn began taking Dual Credit courses in Grade 11 to see if College was the right choice for her.

Camryn has completed the following courses @ St. Lawrence College (Brockville Campus)

Course – Physiology of Police Foundations (Fall 2017)

Course – Aboriginal Peoples and Diversity in Canada (Winter 2018)

Course – Sociology – Police Foundations (Fall 2018)

“When I first began at St. Luke I wasn’t so sure I could be a successful student at the college level, however participating in the Dual Credit program has made me realize that I am capable of the college pathway and that there are so many opportunities available to me. I completed my first dual credit in Physiology and decided that I wanted to complete others. It isn’t just the learning experience, but you get to meet new people, get a taste for college and experience new opportunities.” Camryn

 

 

Shane

Grade 12 Student in the Hospitality and Tourism High Skills Major Program

Upon graduation Shane is hoping to enroll in a computer program @ Algonquin College

Shane is currently enrolled in Science of Technology, Dual Credit Course @ Algonquin College, Ottawa Campus

Mercedes

Grade 12 Student in the Hospitality and Tourism High Skills Major Program

Upon graduation Mercedes plans to pursue a career in Nursing. She plans to apply to the Pre-Health Science Pathway @ Algonquin College, Ottawa Campus, with the long-term goal of Practical Nursing.

Mercedes Completed the Introduction to Psychology, Dual Credit Course at Algonquin College in Perth with a final mark of 96%!

Hannah

Grade 12 Student in the Hospitality and Tourism High Skills Major Program

Hannah is still unsure as to what program or career she would like to pursue after graduation, therefore she continues to participate in dual credit courses to explore different opportunities.

Hannah began taking Dual Credit courses in Grade 11 to explore different career pathways.

Hannah has participated in the following courses @ St. Lawrence College (Brockville Campus)

Course – Art – Painting and drawing – Oil (Winter 2018)

Course – Hairstyling – Chemical Services – (Fall 2018)

“Being a part of the dual credit program has been a great experience and has helped lower my anxiety toward new opportunities. It has allowed me to experience College without being a full-time student.”

 

 

Natasha  

Grade 11 Student in the Contruction High Skills Major Program

Upon graduation Tash is considering two different pathways; Early Childhood Educator or in the Field of Construction

Tash is currently enrolled in Foundations of Early Childhood Education Dual Credit Course @ Algonquin College in Perth.

“I am very happy to be a part of the dual credit program. I think it is amazing that as a grade 11 student I can participate in a college course while still being enrolled in high school. Connor   

Grade 12 Student in the Contruction High Skills Major Program

Upon graduation Connor is considering a career in the automotive industry.

Connor completed the Welding Techniques, Dual Credit Course at St. Lawrence College, Kingston Campus.

“I really enjoyed my time at college and would definitely do it again if I had the opportunity. I really appreciated the professor’s time and dedication to the program, he allowed me to explore different areas in welding and gave me the freedom to learn new techniques.” Connor

 

 

Carson

Grade 12 Student in the Construction High Skills Major Program

Upon graduation Carson is considering a career in Law enforcement, he is planning to apply to the Police Foundations Program @ St. Lawrence College, in Brockville.

Carson began completing Dual Credit courses in the Fall of Grade 11 because he was unsure of his potential pathway. Carson has completed the following courses to date.

Course – Physiology of Police Foundations, @ St. Lawrence College, Brockville Campus

Course – Fitness and Lifestyle Management, @ Algonquin College, Perth Campus

Nathanial 

Grade 12 Student in the Construction High Skills Major Program

Upon graduation Nathaniel would like to enroll in the Canadian Military.

Nathaniel completed the Construction Safety and Introduction to Masonry Dual Credit Course at Algonquin College, Perth Campus.
