Grade 7/8 Foundational Program

The St Luke Grade 7/8 Foundation Program is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of students who have been identified through the Identification Placement Review Committee process with a learning exceptionality.

The Foundation program is based on the proven concept that education can be made more inspiring, relevant and useful to lifelong learning if students are given the opportunity to apply what they have learned.  The program uses small class sizes, technology, one-to-one support as needed and a variety of teaching strategies to appropriately meet the needs of each student.

Through engaging curriculum, which is both creative and functional, St Luke strives to reawaken the enthusiasm for learning inherent in all children.  A full preparatory academic program, including religion, geography, math, science, history, language arts, the arts, and physical education ensures that our students are prepared for the grade 9 high school program.
